Dr. Benoit graduated as valedictorian of his class, from St. Georges University, Grenada, in 2005. He grew up in the Lakeland region and comes from a veterinary and farming background complete with a love for animals. Greg spent significant time in his younger years playing hockey and showing jumpers competitively.

In 2003, Dr. Benoit spent the summer in Wetaskawin, AB at the Bell Veterinary Services clinic where he developed an interest in equine reproduction and then accepted an externship in 2004 and an internship from July 2005 – June 2006 at Moore & Co. in Calgary where he was responsible for all facets of equine medicine including minor surgeries, lameness exams, reproduction and medical workups. Following his internship Dr. Benoit worked at the Equine Medical Centre in North Chatham, New York, where he continued specializing in equine medicine and reproduction.

Greg also worked with his father and brother at Centre Animal Hospital, in Cold Lake, where he was responsible for all facets of small animal medicine including minor and major surgeries, medical workups and routine examinations; and he worked with Dr. Bill Prybysh at the Bonnyville Veterinary Clinic in 2007. In March of 2008 Dr. Benoit purchased the Bonnyville Veterinary Clinic where he continues to offer small and large animal services to the Bonnyville area.

In February 2009, Greg married his long-time friend, Allison Reid, who is also a partner in the business. They have 3 children together, Norah born in February 2010, Owen born in July 2011 and Easton, a Mother’s Day gift, born in May 2013.

Dr. Nicolle Davis, DVM,

Dr. Nicolle Davis was born and raised in Middleton, Nova Scotia. Her love for animals ignited at a young age, as she had many pets, and she knew she wanted a career helping, caring, or working with animals. As such Nicolle attended Dalhousie University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology with Honors. For two years Nicolle worked with species at risk, specifically endangered Roseate Terns. Her research involved living on an isolated island for 3 months, in close proximity to many breeding seabirds and shorebirds.

As Nicolle wanted to further expand her animal knowledge, she then attended the Atlantic Veterinary College located in beautiful Prince Edward Island. In May 2017, Dr. Davis graduated from the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program and is the newest associate veterinarian at Centre Animal Hospital. Dr. Davis has a special interest in feline medicine, diagnostic imaging, and wildlife.

After graduation, Nicolle moved to Saskatchewan to be reunited with her fiancé, Morgan, and their dog, Maggie (Great Pyrenees), and two cats, Hope and Reese. In their spare time, Nicolle and Morgan enjoy activities that involve the outdoors, including camping, fishing, and 4-wheeling.

Before deciding to attend veterinary school, she enjoyed a career in medical research with the CanadaWest Biosciences and the University of Alberta. Next, she took a position as a teaching technician at the University of Calgary’s faculty of Veterinary Medicine. From there, she was admitted to the University of Calgary’s Veterinary Medicine program. Since graduation in May 2016, she has been working in small animal practice. Her interests include dentistry and pocket pets.

Robyn married her high school sweetheart Conrad and they have 1 child together, Everett, who was born in January 2014. Katryn’s spunky attitude is a welcome addition to our team.

Meghan Visser,

Meghan graduated from the Animal Health Technology program with honours from Georgian College in Ontario. She made the move out west in January 2018, and started with our clinic in February.

Lauren Rieder,

Lauren joined our team as an RVT in May 2017.

Lauren is a 2017 graduate from the AHT programme at Lakeland College, but isn’t a new face in Cold Lake, as she grew up here, and her family still resides in Cold Lake.

Shortly after joining our team, Lauren fell in love with and rescued a sweet little cat named Jimmy. Her caring, friendly attitude and beautiful smile makes her a heartwarming addition to the team.

Jenifer Canning,
VA/Team Lead

Jen started with us in 2016 at our sister clinic in Bonnyville in October, and then transferred to Centre Animal Hospital in December of that same year. She moved out west from Ontario, and brought 7 years of clinic experience with her.  Although she didn’t grow up here, she fell in love with the area, and Alberta has become home for Jen, Ellie and Oscar.

Jen has a one-floppy-eared sweet little lab mix named Ellie and a Siamese mix named Oscar.  Jen has a gift for remembering all of our patients, and you may even hear her on one of our radio ads!

Stephanie Linke,

Stephanie joined our team in August of 2017, moving from Ontario as a

military spouse to Cold Lake that summer. She brought several years experience as a Veterinary Assistant with her, and has been a fantastic edition to our team. Stephanie wears her emotions on her sleeve, and is attached to every patient that comes in to see her. You can feel how much she cares when you see her interact with patients and clients alike.

Stephanie and Kyra have two dogs; a bloodhound named Hurley and a labrador retriever mix named Shylo, and three cats, Babs, Bruno and Hip. Growing up in northern Ontario, Stephanie is most comfortable outdoors, and it doesn’t matter what time of year it is. She was an avid dog-sledder, and can’t get enough of being outside. You can often find her walking the trails with her family.
